Breaker’s Lake Roe system extended
26 June 2017
EXPLORER Breaker Resources has again highlighted the potential it sees at its Lake Roe project 100km east of Kalgoorlie, suggesting recent aircore drilling has extended the gold system by 2km to 8km.
Breaker said the drilling identified altered quartz dolerite in these new areas “with the same alteration and gold/pathfinder element signature as the Bombora discovery”.
Reverse circulation drilling is expected late next month following regulatory approval for the work is gained.
Meanwhile resource drilling at Bombora is ongoing – featuring two RC rigs and one diamond core rig – with a maiden resource awaited by the market later this year.
Breaker is confident it is onto something substantial, saying last month the project had “compelling” open cut and underground potential.
“Results so far (are) consistent with early stages of a new mining camp after 80,000m of drilling,” Breaker said.
The company started the current quarter with A$9.4 million cash.
Shares in Breaker were nearly 9% to 69c in late trade, capitalising the company at $87 million.
The stock was at 17c this time last year.
